What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I find tutoring really rewarding. My favourite part is building relationships and getting to know the students that I tutor. I really enjoy getting to know each student, their needs and interests, and learning how I can best help them. For me, tutoring is a way to use my gifts and talents to give back to other people and help other students learn to love learning just as I have. I believe there is nothing quite like the feeling of finally understanding something you have been struggling with - and I strive to help my students reach this point.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think my strengths as a tutor include my strong communication and interpersonal skills, my ability to think on my feet and adapt, and my passion for learning. I think being able to communicate concepts clearly (and in a variety of ways), adapt my plans to suit the needs of the student at that time, and my love and passion for learning make me a strong tutor. I am very dedicated and willing to go above and beyond, which makes the experience of the students I tutor as positive as it can be.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to listen. It is important for a tutor to build a relationship with the students so that tutoring sessions don't become a chore, and the student feels comfortable seeking help with things in these sessions. Thus, I think that listening to and responding to the needs of the student is the most important thing a tutor can do for a student.
More broadly, tutors can help build the confidence of their students, and instil in them a passion and love for learning. These are invaluable roles and responsibilities of a tutor.
