What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy having the opportunity to pass on the tips and tricks I have gained throughout my schooling experience to the next generation of learners. I also enjoy being able to play a part in making their learning experience fun, and something they can view in a positive light, rather than as being intimidating.
Despite my lack of tutoring experience, I would imagine that changing a student's view of learning from being something impossible to conquer, to something they can approach with confidence must be the most enjoyable part of being a tutor.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that my ability to pick out the strengths and weaknesses of each student and find ways to cater to their individual needs would make me a strong tutor.
My honesty in regards to their learning process would also be advantageous in tutoring. For example, explaining to a student that a particular topic may be confusing or difficult to grasp at first may prevent them from losing hope from the get-go if they cannot conquer that topic as easily as they did the last one. This, therefore ensures that they maintain their motivation, undoubtedly ensuring an easier learning experience.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Many students currently find learning, especially in subjects such as maths, to be an intimidating and nerve-wracking experience. The best thing a tutor could do for a student is to change this mindset, allowing them to view learning and school in general as a more enjoyable and interesting experience. I also believe that being a dependable individual in their academic life is also an important part of being a tutor, as it is vital that students can trust you in improving their learning experience and feel confident in doing so.
