Important things a tutor can do for a student are, 1. Giving children time and opportunity to develop their skills. 2. Encourage them to learn/try new things and let them learn from their mistakes and learn new experiences. 3. Break the task in to smaller steps that will incrementally build in to task objective. 4. Use learner's own words, language, materials and personal context - be clear about the activity purpose and how it relates to the skills needs of the learner. 5. We can praise their efforts. 6. Give them chances and turns. 7. encourage them to interact and ask questions.
