What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I love helping people. I had a maths tutor in primary school and there is nothing better than the feeling of finally understanding a concept which you thought you never would. I think it would be amazing to help people achieve this.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

Part of my degree involves developing the ability to explain difficult concepts in "lay-mans" terms. This is something I feel I have become quite proficient at, and a skill which I believe would aid me greatly as a tutor. I am also confident in my ability to converse and develop relationships with a wide range of people which I think will help to develop trust with students.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I believe it is imperative to develop meaningful relationships in order to gain the trust and respect of students. A tutor plays such an important role and it is important to be a trustworthy figure and someone with whom the student is comfortable. A key concept I value is identifying specific goals and developing timelines in order to achieve them. This can help to both track progress as well as formulate appropriate study plans and milestones in order to achieve these goals. It is also an important tool to keep the student accountable throughout their time.
