What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most is definitely when my student does well in school/ an exam as it makes me super proud of them that I was able to help them and see their improvement.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My strength is that I'm patient and am able to explain a concept as many times or in as many different ways until a student fully understands it, as I know what it is like to be a lost student. Another strength is that I'm supportive and friendly so I'll focus first on building a rapport so they feel comfortable talking to me rather than a strict teacher and encourage them to follow their goals. Also, as I finished HSC last year (2020) I'm extremely aware of the latest syllabus changes and what study techniques work and don't work.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
One of the most important things a tutor can do for a student is to be patient. A tutor should ensure that their student fully understands the concept before they move on to more different topics and is able to break steps down for them. Also, it is crucial that tutors adapt their teaching style based on the student as everyone learns differently and you have to tailor your explanation to fit your student's level of understanding.
