What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
Mainly it's a sense of satisfaction obtained from helping a student achieve their fullest potential. I was once in their shoes and guided by student tutors so taking on this role is somewhat like paying it forward on behalf of those who have helped me.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I can easily break down complex concepts into digestible material.
Possess a firm understanding of multiple subjects, and thus can easily recall items or formulas to assist my student in their area of learning.
Very friendly and outgoing, so students will not feel discouraged raising any queries or clarifying any misunderstandings.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A good tutor should firstly ensure that the student has a solid grasp of the foundational knowledge underpinning their subject, before moving on to teach more complex concepts. This is because oftentimes a subject's more advanced concepts will draw heavily from assumed foundational knowledge. Additionally a tutor can instill confidence in a student as well as suggest how a student can improve learning in their own spare time.
