What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I believe many students are scared or embarrassed to ask for academic help, which is why I always approach the students I tutor with a non-judgemental attitude. I find it very rewarding to be able to confront the idea that needing extra help with school is something shameful.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
As an older sister (and informal tutor) to a 10-year-old little girl, I've learned the value of patience. I understand that a good tutor gauges the skillset of their student, and works at a pace that is reasonable, as frustration can easily build when a tutor moves too quickly. Therefore, I believe my patience and observational skills are two of my greatest assets as a tutor.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe that it's crucial for a tutor to create an open and supportive relationship with their student. A student needs to feel comfortable to ask questions and communicate what they need, and it's the tutor's responsibility to create a space where that is possible.
