What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy being able to tune in on a student's thoughts and feelings when they're approaching new material.
What do they find confusing? What do they think about this new concept I'm introducing to them? Can we both take that extra step out of their current syllabus to show them something fun about mathematics?
I am extremely overjoyed to hear about an improvement in understanding, marks, or even just an improvement in mood from learning something from the people I help out.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I will certainly enjoy tutoring, and when you enjoy doing something, you're going to be putting 100 percent in. I can type up extra, more personalized math questions for students using LaTeX. This extra level of support will come from knowing what the student needs to improve on.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Identifying and discussing a student's needs and conforming to those needs in a comfortable manner for the student! Sounds like word vomit, but in basic words, I want to help a student both the way the way they want me to, and the way I think they need me to. In organizing a more personalized learning experience, I think that students will be able to achieve and learn more about the content as well as themselves!
I also believe that a tutor should have a nurturing presence - "I care about teaching you and improving your marks, but I also care about you. You can talk to me anytime."
