What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I think tutoring is a great way of helping students get the best grade they can. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and the sense of achievement when students come to finally understand a concept their teachers weren't able to explain to them.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My main strengths are patience and experience. Unlike teachers in school, I can provide personalised support and detailed explanations to help students understand a theory/concept. Second, I have first-hand experience from year 12, meaning that I am familiar with the SACE curriculum and the best way to study to achieve a high ATAR. Knowledge and experience are my most valuable assets I will bring to this role.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The key focus should be on helping students achieve the best grade they want; if a student wants to achieve A+ in maths, I will provide extra support through exam preparation and study tips. Tutors should also help students to realise their potential. That is, tutoring should not only be about problem-solving but also counselling. Support for personal alongside academic development is something I have always appreciated, and is something I can bring from my studies in psychology.
