What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

I enjoy interacting with students and answering their doubts to help them achieve an understanding of the knowledge being covered. I also enjoy creating fun activities in order to make learning more interactive for students who have difficulties in receiving information in a traditional spoken form.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I attempt to recognize the strengths and weaknesses of individuals whilst tutoring and cater my service accordingly to each student. I am always willing to answer student queries, whether it be directly related to the subject being covered or a tangent associated with the subject. Lessons may comprise, but are not limited to, content revision, assessment training, independent practice, supported question answering, and a run-through of queries. Lessons are ensured to be structured according to the skill level and academic goals of the student.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Recognise which areas of learning a student struggles with and focus to improve these areas instead of rehearsing already understood information. It is also extremely important to encourage students to ask questions and not to be inclined to feel embarrassed. I will attempt to answer these queries to the best of my ability and seek clarification from external sources if unsure. I hold prior experience teaching Biology for all year level students. Typically, I structure my classes by firstly delivering and expanding on weekly content and then following this up with an opportunity for students to apply learnt knowledge in question-and-answer form, either independently or with support. I am passionate about assisting others in achieving their goals, no matter how big or small they are, and take pride in supporting them to do so.
