It's really rewarding as a tutor to see firsthand how students develop their knowledge and skills, where they go from having little to no understanding of a subject to being more confident in their ability to complete a range of problems.

I would say having patience and empathy when teaching students new concepts as it takes time to gain a good understanding of a subject. By providing positive reinforcement and support, a tutor can enhance a student's academic development and make the learning process more enjoyable and engaging. It's also important to give students opportunities to work on their problems solving skills by guiding them through problems rather than giving them all the answers.
