What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
Tutoring is a job where you decide the direction of your role. There is no one looking over your shoulder and there is no one holding your hand. You are thrown out into the studentโs world, and you learn to adapt on the fly. This independence really does help develop your problem-solving, decision-making, and time management skills. Not to mention, the flexibility of tutoring means you can balance your commitments if anything else in life comes up.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช

Discipline
I believe in getting results, and Iโm proud of the fact that my class has always scored above the school and state average in standardized testing. I make homework expectations clear at the beginning of the school year, and keep parents updated throughout about exactly where their children stand. I have posters on the wall explaining my discipline strategy and ask parents to sign that they have read it, and it has never been challenged.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
A good tutor will identify the studentโs learning style so that they are able to present information in a way that has the greatest effect.Tutors should ascertain which building blocks the student is missing in their foundation of knowledge. Filling in these missing building blocks will establish a strong foundation on which they can build.A good tutor will take the time to connect meaningfully with the student and their families. They will be caring and compassionate, but also professional and organized.
