What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

The expression on a student's face when they understand something after having struggled with it and to see their confidence grow. Also, knowing that I was able to help someone and to help them learn and enjoy learning English. This in turn has a domino effect for that student, their family and the greater community.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I am personable and can make the student feel at ease. I can engage the student, be imaginative and help them to enjoy the experience too. I listen, am patient, encouraging and build on their strengths and foundations. I can easily ascertain the areas a student has problems with and work out a plan to help and guide the student in the tutoring sessions. I have a strong command of the English language and have a lot of experience especially with students who are speakers of other languages. Most importantly, I enjoy the experience and enjoy helping others and it shines through in my work.

As a tutor, it is important to support, engage, encourage, listen, guide, create a safe and positive environment and help the student enjoy the experience.
