What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I have found that collaboratively solving a problem, by helping others can be a highly rewarding activity. As a learner I try and obtain a very broad understanding of a subject matter which can yield a fairly heterodox understanding of that subject. I have found that others who do not wish to spend the time to find that insight do benefit from it simply being communicated to them, and that benefit in owing it's uniqueness to you is satisfying.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
For mathematics especially, I think I have been largely acquainted with what doesn't work for learning, having been a student myself - even at the tertiary level. I believe that a very simple transformation in framing and perspective which deviates from curriculae is immensely beneficial for the learning process, and I believe I can provide that pool of multi-faceted insight, especially regarding visual intuition.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A student may have several factors which obtrude in their academic progress: be it a lack of motivation, confidence, understanding, time, support, etc. An ideal tutor will exemplify virtues in all these areas, and offer insight to a student to shore up any component they may be lacking. I would suggest that there is no singularly important component of a tutors duties - rather, the degree of relevance should be determined by their student. That being said however, I should suggest that the readiness of a tutor to tailor their strengths to a particular student must be paramount.
