My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I’m kind, caring, empathetic and thoroughly enjoy helping others, I try my utmost to help the student. I have good communication skills, listen to the student to ascertain areas they’re having trouble with. I’m good at problem solving , flexible, always come up with solutions for problems and change my teaching style to suit each student’s needs. My weaknesses are I have high personal expectations, when tutoring I can be harsh on myself for not picking up on areas of difficulty earlier. However I have learnt that this sometimes takes time and I need to be more patient with myself.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

Build the students competence and therefore confidence so they can solve problems and/or structure essays knowing they have the ability to do so and can achieve a great outcome using their own ability. A tutor should ensure the student fully understands the content they are learning and not just rote learning it. A tutor should make the student feel confident in their own ability. Tutors should highlight a student’s strengths and help them improve the areas they are having difficulty with. Tutors should help students find ways to enjoy the subject as this makes studying for the subject far eas
