What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁

It's extremely rewarding to be able to help students achieve their academic potential and to see how their confidence grows as they meet their goals. I love learning so I think that it's really special to have the priveledge of helping other students with their learning journeys.

My Strengths as Tutor 💪

I know that not everyone learns in the same way so I'm willing to try lots of different ways of explaining something until I find a method that the student enjoys and understands. I know that self belief is really important when you are learning so I give students lots of positive encouragement. I'm a good listener and value constructive criticism so I always reflect on my teaching and find ways to improve.

Most important things I can do for a student 🏅

I think that it's really important to be a good listener so that you can use feedback from students to improve your teaching. Not everyone learns in the same way so it's really important to work with each student to find the learning tehniques that work best for them. It's also important to recognise that each student could prefer different learning techniques for different topics or situations. A growth mindset is really important when you are learning. It's important to provide lots of encouragement and point out things that students are doing well as this helps to build confidence.
