What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I enjoy seeing students improve their knowledge as it feels like I was able to contribute to their growth. It is always a pleasure to see students discover their own ways of thinking to make sense of the concept.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I believe that I am strong in communication with children because I consider myself an empathetic person. I work hard to be in the student's position for what they do and don't understand, then mix up the approach to help them learn.
Moreover, I am very accepting of mistakes, which means the students can be honest about their level of understanding. This creates better opportunities to improve their memory, thus better performance.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I believe patience is by far the most important aspect of teaching. I recognise that the students will not understand every concept on the first go, so I think being able to explain in comprehensive words and giving them time to understand is key to successful tutoring. I also believe that the effort to let students enjoy what they are studying is essential. Without fun, there is a limit to how much they can remember because they wouldn't be eager to learn. Therefore, I try to bring joy to the learning experience to make the best of it.
