What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
I love seeing that "aha" moment - when someone finally understands something they previously deemed as "too hard", or "impossible to understand". I enjoy seeing their confidence grow as they tackle harder and harder content. I enjoy helping kids become actually engaged in the content, and genuinely interested in what they are learning.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I talk and act with patience and understanding. I know that frustrated feeling when you just can't seem to understand something, and I am open to tailoring different approaches for each student, as I am aware everyone learns in different ways.
. I understand that being a good tutor and mentor does not only involve being good at teaching the actual content. It involves having a genuine interest in the students wellbeing and changing their mindsets about learning, so that they perceive it as an opportunity to expand their knowledge rather than a mandatory part of highschool.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is helping them feel more confident in their learning. This can be done if a tutor also acts as a mentor and ensures that the student has the right mindset to study. As a tutor if we guide children to perceive learning as a fun challenge rather than mandatory work, we can ensure that the face their studies with a positive mind.
