What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
My favourite part about tutoring is being there when the student makes that mental click and understands the problem. After that, students are in such high spirits and its very infectious.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
My greatest strengths as a tutor lie in my ability to communicate. Active listening, respect, and honesty are integral to establishing positive relationships with students, and they do much more. For example, they are the foundation for proactiveness in learning, the ability to bring up issues that are necessary for the student's growth. You need to listen for the problem, be honest in your response, and have the respect to bring up the issue when it needs to be addressed. These three strengths, along with my organisational skills and time management, allow me to be the best tutor I can be.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
A good tutor will get the student to understand the content, but an amazing tutor can inspire the student to want for more. Personally, I believe that one of the most important things a tutor can provide is that open dialogue. Students learn so much more when there is a genuine interest in the subject, and the only way to grow it is through free-flow dialogues.
