What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
For me, the satisfaction of a student finally getting a concept right is what motivates me. To be able to make a difference so that they will not make the same mistake in that area again. I also like the energy that younger students have, the curiosity to understand how the world works. Though sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming with a classroom full of them.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think one of my biggest strengths as a teacher is being able to utilize my visualization skills and use the board as a helping tool. Instead of sitting down, pointing and verbally explaining a concept to a student, I can let the student volunteer to come up and write or draw the answer. This will motivate the student to participate and also help them remember it better.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
To me, personal connection and being energetic to the student is pretty important. Sometimes, they might had a long day at school and feel unmotivated and uninterested to learn. I am there to provide a creative and interesting way to learn. Also, identifying a student's weakness instead of practicing on a strength is significant too. They might be doing okay in English but their grasp of scientific concepts could be really weak.
