What do I enjoy most about tutoring? ๐
Becoming a tutor will allow me to maximise the use of the knowledge I have acquired. Also spreading knowledge, making a positive change to student's life trajectory will be my pride. Another reason I have passion and enthusiasm for teaching is the role modelling effect from my professors/lecturers. I really appreciate their status, although they have profound knowledge in their field, they are modest and you will never see them display themselves ostentatiously, they make commitment to each tiny question from their students, spreading the knowledge and arousing their interest in the field.
My Strengths as Tutor ๐ช
My strength is that I have in-depth math knowledge at undergraduate level, especially statistic field (my major) and achieved competitive scores in math across high school and undergraduate level. For personalities, I am patient and empathetic so if student doesnโt understand, I will navigate them until they fully comprehend the concept. I am also detail-oriented, so I am so willing to make commitment to answer any tiny question from students. I am also studentโs needs-centred and will solicit feedback from my students after each class to design the best study pace, teaching style for them.
Most important things I can do for a student ๐
I think one of the most important part of a tutoring job is to build their confidence, arouse their interests and develop critical thinking skills that the students after the tutoring, they should not only comprehend all the theories that they should grasp at their stage for exam purposes, but also can think creatively and deeply about questions, they will get themselves to delve into the reasoning behind the scene, this skill will be so beneficial and prepare them for future more advanced learning.
