What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
As a tutor, I enjoy helping my friends improve their math abilities. Seeing my friends achieve success feels very fulfilling, and I enjoy sharing my passion for math with them. Tutoring gives me the opportunity to make a positive impact on my friends. As a critical tutor, I enjoy the challenge of finding new and creative ways to help my friends improve and reach their full potential. I am excited to continue developing my tutoring skills and making a positive impact on the academic achievements of others.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I feel I am a tutor who is both strict and patient, and can effectively set clear expectations, motivate students, and create a safe and supportive learning environment. This approach helps me engage clearly while also encouraging questions and allowing mistakes to help teach. By adapting to each student's unique needs and learning style, I feel I can help students achieve their academic goals and develop important skills for success.
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I feel regular and honest feedback is an important way tutors can help their students reach their full potential. Tutors should also be able to make a strong connection with their students, to not only understand their capabilities as a student but their life as a whole. This leads to improved learning outcomes and a stronger student-tutor relationship, which is crucial for students to have in order to bring the most out of their sessions.

However, missing homework is still an issue this far into tutoring, which causes lots of lost time, as we need to still play catch up.

I was correct in assuming he struggles with worded questions, as the worksheets I assumed would take 20 or so minutes took about 50. We need to work on more critical thinking skills, and application of concepts.
He seems to be getting a hang of the simpler worded questions. I ask him to explain every question back to me, which helps with his understanding as well.

However, he again forgets to do some homework. I feel as though he is intimidated by some of the larger multiplication questions, which he says take him upwards of 3-5 minutes per question. Regardless, I need him to do the questions, so his accuracy for these types of questions improve.
