What do I enjoy most about tutoring? 😁
What I enjoy most about tutoring is that it involves clarity and versatility in communication when teaching a student. As all students don't learn the same way, it is important that one varies teaching methods accordingly. This is what I enjoy about tutoring, as it teaches me how to think on my feet, and communicate better.
My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I think that my philosophy and approach to teaching is my strength. In most of my highschool and start to uni, I found the way I and my friends learnt best is by explaining a topic or concept in its simplest form, adding details over time to build complexity in understanding. As they say, one must learn to walk before they run. This is a strength I carry for I have used this approach to teach friends and family, and it always proves successful! I hope that this method I use proves valuable for any students I take on in the future!
Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
I think presence for one is important for a student. Tutors I have had in the past have always been in contact, checking in and supporting my efforts; I believe this can give a student a lot of confidence in their learning. Additionally, I believe that its important a tutor should never just give answers when teaching. In order for students to learn tutors must be decisive in when they concede and show how to solve a question and when to listen and try and let them work it out on their own. These are the things I believe are important for a tutor to consider doing for a student.
