Remember what it was like to be in their position and understand they may not be able to come out of it the same way you did. Everyone has their own unique learning style, a tutor's job is to identify that and work with it. Patience with people not understanding concepts straight away - I will sit with them not matter how long it…

I think its most important a tutor supports students while they are first learning an unfamiliar topic, helps them practice to gain confidence, and ensures they are able to perform independently by providing constructive feedback. I have a practical approach and have mentored students of ages 18 to 55. With mathematics and physics education there…

Help them realise they can reach high goals, we develop the most when we challenge ourselves. Relating concepts to real world problems and having a true interest in the subject.

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to actually care about him/her. Teaching the subject is something they already had at school, but they need more than words thrown in their direction and that's why I'm here I would say that understanding the kid's problem and being able to breakdown a subject into small, simple steps until…

A tutor should get a student to THINK! and not rush to find an answer! This means to get the students to be able to focus on the content at hand and to use various ways to remember the content and apply the content in different ways to solve problems in the real world. Life experience/work…

The most important thing a tutor can do for a student is that a tutor must be well aware of what he/she is teaching and must be an expert on it. Without this it's a waste of both a student's and teacher's time and money. For this I personally need to get prepared by learning teaching materials and technics at home before I start a lesson. Whatever…

As said above, I feel tutoring is all about finding the way a student can understand the matter.
This means that tutoring for me is in the first place an individual process that differs every time.

A good tutor, in my opinion, is the one who can make students interested in topics. I believe that people can be excited or exhausted about the same topic depending on the tutor's teaching attitude. If a tutor is successful in making students interested in their courses, students can then be more likely to be hard-working and successful. I can…
