I think that the most important thing you can do for a student is to accommodate their needs. If there's something they're just not understanding in class or homework that they're stressed about, it's all about catering to what the student needs and ensuring that their needs are met so that they can succeed in their studies. I'm extremely kind and…

I think the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is to encourage them to ask questions that they never felt comfortable asking in front of their actual teachers. As a teacher, I believe that academic independence and curiosity are the greatest qualities I can give to them. I consider my patience a valuable asset as a tutor. I never…

The most crucial aspects of tutoring are patience and understanding, both of the concept you are teaching and in the way the student learns. A tutor should be able to adapt to each students process of understanding and take the time to ensure the student has formed an understanding of a topic. I believe my main strength in tutoring is the way in…

The most important role of a tutor is to empower students with the tools and confidence they need to become independent learners. Beyond helping them grasp specific subject matter, a tutor should instill critical thinking skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective study habits. Additionally, providing ongoing encouragement, constructive…

I believe that the most important thing a tutor can do for a student is help them understand that a single bad grade doesn't define who they are and rather show how to improve and change that perspective into something more positive. To put it simply I think that showing a student that they can achieve whatever they want is the the most important…

Aside from understanding the content to be taught, I believe that a tutor must have strong communication skills to understand the student. Simply tossing facts around would not help, these information has to be expressed in a form where the student can assimilate with ease and gain understanding from it instead of memorising it as it is.…

I think the most important thing a tutor can do for students is have patience. The learning curve for two students is not the same, and for a tutor, it is vital to have patience so that the slowest student can also understand the topic easily. For that (s)he may have to explain the same topic multiple times by stating different examples. My…

Local Reviews

It was extremely easy to get started with EzyMath. We had been waiting months for a school tutor to become available, but when we couldn't wait any longer we contacted EzyMath. The tutor we have been given is very respectful and has already within a few weeks gained the trust of our son. We are already starting to see his confidence return and he is smiling again.

Inside Wyndham ValeTutoring Sessions

Content Covered

Year 7 student Aanya focused on identifying different types of angles within geometric shapes and practiced working with supplementary and complementary angles.

For Year 10, Riya worked through solving quadratic equations by both factorisation and completing the square, then applied these skills to form and solve equations from worded problems.

Meanwhile, Year 11 student Aryan concentrated on graphing piecewise linear functions and used function notation to solve practical application questions.

Recent Challenges

A Year 10 student often relied on repeating familiar question types, avoiding newer problem formats in algebra; as one tutor noted, "concepts already taught are having to be repeated from the beginning for each new problem," which slowed progress and reduced exposure to different solution strategies.

In a Year 7 session, incomplete practice with forming equations from word problems meant steps had to be re-explained, disrupting momentum.

For VCE Maths (Year 12), insufficient revision of earlier units led to delays during sessions, as past concepts weren't confidently recalled when tackling advanced differentiation tasks. Time was spent revisiting basics instead of consolidating higher-level skills.

Recent Achievements

A Wyndham Vale tutor recently noticed a big shift in Braith, a Year 10 student who used to take several steps to solve equations but now works most out mentally and has started finishing his weekly syllabus ahead of schedule.

Anushka, also in high school, previously hesitated when faced with graphing tasks; last session, she confidently sketched transformed graphs without needing prompts.

In the primary years, Alice—who struggled with identifying geometric shapes—now quickly names them and applies parallel line theorems smoothly. During her last lesson, she solved every angles question independently.

Local Spots for Tutoring

If you'd prefer not to have lessons at home, tutoring can also take place at a local library—such as Manor Lakes Library—or at your child's school (with permission), like Iramoo Primary School.
