Year 11 and 12 Chemistry can be intimidating. Students need to learn heaps of content, be able to recognize reactions and analyse chemical systems. The number of concepts students need to master is overwhelming, and the workload only adds up as they move up the curriculum. If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.

If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.
Tutors we work with know that. They've been there. Being approached by a mentor rather than a teacher makes it easier for students to develop an appreciation for chemistry. That's what it comes down to - someone making sure your child doesn't give up.
For some students it's just passing a test, for others it's getting through QCE with flying colours, maybe even preparing for a career in STEM. Whatever the goal, we are there to support your child through it all.
So what's the next step?
Give us a call and we will organise a chemistry tutor in Albion to come to your home for one-on-one tutoring, at a time that works for you and your child.
We allocate local Albion chemistry tutors so scheduling is never an issue. Changed your mind or need to postpone the lesson? No worries, there are no cancellation costs.
On top of that, the first lesson is a trial so if you don't like the tutor we'll find someone else who is better suited.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
It's clear that she doesn't find many strategies such as talking out loud and putting pen to paper very natural. However throughout lessons I have been constantly reminding her to use these techniques and there has been a small improvement in how often she uses them without the reminder. These techniques are very important to keeping thoughts in order and avoiding confusing when trying to solve a difficult question so we will keep working on them in future lessons until they become a habit.
Always enthusiastic, especially when working through new content. Harder questions will require more thinking time, so persist through these. Always completes set tasks and asks questions. Consistently ahead of the class and completes assigned school work.
With trigonometry, Angela just needs a lot of practice to be able to memorise the rules and identities. Angela should always read questions carefully to know exactly what she is being asked to do.
My tutoring is going great, Rory is awesome and I'm very happy with the way things are going. Feeling so much better about my maths already.
We are very happy with the tutoring and our tutor is very good with my children. They are really enjoying it and this speaks volumes as they were both very opposed to the idea!
Sahm has been an excellent teacher and we are very happy as to the way he works with our daughter.
