Learning biology is cumulative. Like learning mathematics or other science subjects - it's important to understand the basics before you can tackle complex concepts.
While most students have the right idea on how to approach studying biology, they also need a little push to achieve their goals. We've found that all it takes is the right kind of guidance at the right time.
The local Angle Park biology tutors we work with are there to assist so that passing and excelling at biology doesn't seem like such a hurdle. What we look for is someone who can adjust to your child's needs, who can observe their study habits and guide them through the learning process. So what does that mean exactly?
For instance, most students know they should go over past exams and take notes. What students also sometimes do is fixate on individual questions too much and even try to memorise them. While they know what they should be doing, they might not know how to do it. This is why tutoring is invaluable.
All we need to get things started is to have a chat with you to figure out what your child needs. We organise one-on-one biology tutoring in Angle Park, at your home. There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate.
And what if you don't like the tutor? No worries, it happens from time to time and we understand that! That's why the first lesson comes as a free trial.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Strategies dealt with: Building her confidence, pen to paper, positive self-talk and being ok to be wrong. In general, building her confidence and ease with completing math questions and writing down her working. Consistently improving in all those areas.
Caroline needs to understand that it is okay to ask for help in order to improve. Currently, I would like Caroline to spend more time on homework to ensure she completes everything. She is gradually developing the organisation skills required to set out her work efficiently.
As discussed, she is quite behind on addition. The more fluent she becomes at addition, the more we may find the rest fo maths will click for her. If not, going over it with an understanding of addition will definitely help as well. Relucance towards anything newer, and likes to still to her methods. This makes it rather difficult, but I have to link the methods together to show her how to do things quicker.
We are very happy with Shunan as Antony and Bella's tutor. He is doing a wonderful job. Thank you!
Grace is really enjoying the sessions with James and the support has given her confidence. He is an excellent tutor.
Ajok is a lovely person who my daughter has taken to very well in the first two lessons we have had. Ajok was unable to see us last week due to her own study commitments, but I'm hopeful this tutoring will be just the help my daughter needs.
