Dom has the potential to do well in maths, but is not yet an independent learner. With a greater mathematical understanding, hopefully his interest will improve and with it his confidence and work ethic. Dom's formatting skills is also another big problem. Dom will write his working out all over the page, making it impossible for a marker to go through his working. Neat formatting stops silly mistakes and also allows him to pick up marks for working even if the final answer is wrong.
- lazy - in the last 15mins of the lesson, she tends to be keen to leave and stop the lesson, and gets lazier with her work while usually in the beginning, she is willing to listen to instructions and learn - I would like it if she gave in more effort with her class work and h/w - tends to distract herself with irrelevant topics - she's usually loud with she does questions (she talks aloud when doing questions which helps her understand better) and sometimes distracts George
Mackenzy has been having problems with fractions and time tables initially and did not have a good understanding of what was happening at school in her maths. With a few lessons, she is doing so much better and ofcourse there is room for more improvements. There are a few more gaps to be covered and we are taking it one topic at a time.
