Learning biology is cumulative. Like learning mathematics or other science subjects - it's important to understand the basics before you can tackle complex concepts.
While most students have the right idea on how to approach studying biology, they also need a little push to achieve their goals. We've found that all it takes is the right kind of guidance at the right time.
The local Athol Park biology tutors we work with are there to assist so that passing and excelling at biology doesn't seem like such a hurdle. What we look for is someone who can adjust to your child's needs, who can observe their study habits and guide them through the learning process. So what does that mean exactly?
For instance, most students know they should go over past exams and take notes. What students also sometimes do is fixate on individual questions too much and even try to memorise them. While they know what they should be doing, they might not know how to do it. This is why tutoring is invaluable.
All we need to get things started is to have a chat with you to figure out what your child needs. We organise one-on-one biology tutoring in Athol Park, at your home. There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate.
And what if you don't like the tutor? No worries, it happens from time to time and we understand that! That's why the first lesson comes as a free trial.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Kai has as very good view of the HSC ahead and staying focused on learning all things necessary to maximise his marks. Hearing the approach he is taking is encouraging to hear that he is so well prepared so early.
Michaela brings a positive attitude every week and diligently works through her homework, highlighting questions she had trouble with so that our lesson time is optimised for helping her get a solid understanding of the topics she's least familiar with.
Knowledge-wise Matthew seems excellent, with maybe some lack of understanding of trigonometric function which hasn't been covered in Matthew's classes since our lessons. The problem seems to lie in using his knowledge and applying them to problem solving scenarios, particularly in exams.
So far so good with Stephen ... Charlie has really taken to him and we are very happy with him and the work he has done so far.
Carla is very happy with Aisling. We are gratefull that she is able to assist us.
Alec is really enjoying his sessions with Matt. He finds Matt funny and easy to get along with. Alec tells me he has already started learning things he didn't know. We are very happy so far with Matt.
