Getting through 12 grades of school has its challenges. From actually passing exams to building intellectual independence to figuring out what to do after high school's over. Everyone can remember some of the hurdles that came up during the school years of their life. We have 12 English tutors in Aranda available to help your child overcome some of those hurdles. Private tutoring is all about a tailored approach, so whether your child needs to overcome some confidence issues, develop a study plan, prepare for exams or comprehend some specific trouble topics, we're here to help. And, what helps the most is having a good student-tutor fit, it's really a core ingredient that determines whether tutoring will help your child in the way you want.
So how does it all work?
The tutoring is done in your home at a time and day that is convenient. We want you to be super happy with your English tutor so the first lesson works as a trial: don't like it = don't pay for it. No extra charges, booking costs, cancellation fees, minimum requirements or anything of that sort. Pay for the tutoring time used at the end of each month based on a simple hourly rate. That's all!
The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Astin has no problem talking aloud and he is quite confident with the content. Sometimes however he can get a bit over confident and when asked to do a question which he struggles. Astin needs more work on back checking as he often assumes his answer is correct and not properly back check by working through the question again. Astin need to be organised with his work and he doesn't have a dedicated folder for maths to store all the loose bit of papers.
He is very motivated and actively participates in the tutoring session. He has a great understanding of the subject matter. Even though he never did the assignments I gave, he told me that he is making multiple visits to his teacher before the exam. It seems like he is making good effort from his side. He is attentive almost all the time during the sessions.
Lily doesn't seem to have any more gaps in her knowledge, so we will be focusing on her current work. In preparation for her end of year exams, we revised all the topics from the year. She needed to refresh her memory on probability, but she picked it up again quickly.
Thank you. So far so good. Sarah is very approachable and friendly, quick to respond to emails etc. and has a great collaborative style. Jake, who was skeptical of tutoring at first, has found the sessions very useful.
We are delighted with Charlie as Gabrielle's tutor. He has been prompt, polite, pleasant and extremely helpful. Within 2 sessions I could see her confidence in attacking problem solving questions had improved and approach to Maths in general.
Tammy is great. She has a friendly manner and she is enthusiastic at every session. Lucy seems to like her and she has some great methods for teaching. She engages Lucy and makes the sessions fun and interesting bringing things along to help Lucy understand what she is trying to teach her. She is concentrating on what Lucy's weaknesses are while thinking ahead for Lucy for year 7. From my observations of the sessions I think she will help Lucy enormously. I am very happy with Tammy to date and hope that she is happy to continue on with Lucy
