The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Kelly's use of the learning strategies is quickly improving as she is beginning to build a greater understanding of the content being covered. The strategy that perhaps needs the most attention is back checking/self checking and self questioning, where Kelly is able to complete the question but if a mistake has been made she needs to be able to work back and attempt to find the mistake in order to correct it.
Steph always has a good attitude and generally puts in solid effort and work habits. She has completed all her homework except for the one time and in lessons tries her hardest. I tend to think it is when she struggles she turns off but she is usually back on task quite easily.

Mainly, we need to work more on geometric problems (equal and similar triangles, Pythagoras theorem), and on solving algebraic expressions.
I want to thank you so much, as Zoe has been so amazing. Ella has loved learning from her and I hope that if we come back next year we can request her.
Mel has enjoyed maths since she took up lessons with Rebecca which is music to my ears. She feels more confidence now with her maths. Rebecca is a fantastic tutor and we couldn't be happier with the progress they've achieved so far.
Emily has truly benefited from tutoring and I would not hesitate to recommend your service or to come back again if we felt Emily needed further help.
