Every student needs help sometimes, and often that help is needed in English. From basics like punctuation, spelling and grammar right up to narrative writing, proof reading and literary analysis. The Australian curriculum is thorough and there are various challenges that pop up for students over the years. At some point most students could use some help and an English tutor does just that - help! Ideally that help comes before the student has formed a negative cycle or fallen into a no-effort habit.
What we do is facilitate that help as a home service, we'll organise an in-home English tutor in Ashmore, or wherever it is convenient for you.
A local Ashmore English tutor will come to you at a time and day of your chosing and offer tutoring help in a manner tailored for your child's unique situation. The first lesson works as a trial so that if your child doesn't connect well with the tutor, you don't have to pay and we can organise someone else for you.
The terms of service are super simple too. No contracts or minimum hours or cancellation fees or anything like that. You get charged a simple hourly rate. That's it.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Chelsea is quite a fast learner when she is concentrated. She can easily grasp concepts when taught in a relatable manner. She works a lot better when she tries to work questions out on paper rather than in her head.
I think Tanner's willingness to learn and improve is there, but he needs to be more consistent with his homework - especially being more proactive in terms of doing it without constant reminders to do it! He says he's seeking more help in class which is great to hear and we'll keep building up his confidence to ask more questions.
Antione has improved but still struggles to work through money questions and I found drawing out different money scenarios and using money in our lessons helped him understand cents and dollars. It's also important that Antione revise his timetables every now and again to make sure he retains this knowledge which will also be helpful when he starts to develop more skills in division.

Yes we are happy with the way things have started. Ahmad-Firdauz has been very helpful and we believe has already helped Jayden improve is focus. Jayden has a math test today which we are hopeful show improved results even if by just a slight margin.
Jeevan is happy with Posearn's approach and seems to have settled well with the arrangement. He has been on time every lesson and seems to be a dedicated tutor. We are looking forward to seeing progress in Jeevan's Maths grades but for now we are pleased that he has someone he can turn to for help when he encounters problems with homework.
Kyle engaged with Josephine very quickly. He has a delightfully engaging and affirming nature. She opened up immediately and felt more confident to tackle maths problems in the session. Very pleased to have him on board.
