Madeline incorporates different learning strategies such as talking aloud and seeking understanding in her learning. She seems more confident and understands what is being taught, and can attempt most questions given to her.
Catherine is working very hard to do well and to understand everything in class by asking questions about topics covered in class, and is seeking to understand content beyond what is currently being taught.
Brodie seems to be able to understand and complete most questions without a problem but his marks, although they are improving, aren't at the level that they could be. This means that for most of our sessions now we will focus on the hard questions which will be where most marks are being lost, and specific exam preparation techniques.
I know it is only early days but Harley and Owen seem to have '˜clicked'. They are working really well and not only is Harley's confidence growing but also his understanding of the maths chapters they have been studying has improved. I no longer have to hassle him to do his homework - always a bonus!
Henry has had 3 sessions with Justin so far, and it is going very well. His current topic is algebra and he feels that he is benefitting from the additional assistance. Justin is punctual, helpful (even stayed back an extra 10-15 minutes last week to help Henry with a problem-solving sheet) and is very pleasant to have around.
