No wonder most students get overwhelmed and start memorising instead of understanding the concepts. Or worse, they just give up.
We've heard it time and time again, you’ve probably heard it too. Some students connect everything as they go, but some are just stuck. This kind of attitude can lead to poor grades, but it can also lead to a crack in your child's self-esteem.
So what can you do?
The truth is - everyone struggles. Some might get there easier or quicker, but everyone struggles at some point. We know that and the Banksmeadow chemistry tutors we work with know that, too.
All it takes is a bit of guidance by someone who's been there before. Someone who can foster the right attitude and study habits, but most importantly, someone who clicks with your child - a tutor who truly cares about your child's needs and goals.
That's what we do.
We find tutors and organise one-on-one chemistry tutoring in Banksmeadow, at your home or any other place that works for you.
There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate. You don't like the tutor? No need to worry, the first lesson comes as a free trial and we find you a better match. Simple as that.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Lucy is really good at talking aloud and knows that it is okay to be wrong, which is so important when we're learning maths! She's also good at writing out her working out, which is also very important in maths.
Zoe has a very eager attitude, and is always ready to learn. If she gets a question wrong, she doesn't let it get her down, and instead has another go. She puts in a lot of effort, and is to be commended on being able to commit to a two hour tutoring session following a school day. She is always prepared, and has worked on questions throughout the week before our session. Zoe works well in all sessions, although sometimes towards the end of the sessions, her focus reduces.
Blake needs to have better study organisation - using his diary, having separate folders for different subjects etc. After two lessons, it is still in its early strategies for me to establish what kind of study methods would be the most appropriate for Blake. Organisation, confidence, study habits.
Deepti is working with my daughter for more than a year as her Tutor. The great strength of Deepti is the trust relationship that she develop with the students, so they feel comfortable to open up and get the guidelines she share and teach. My daughter was definitely improved her math, but more important improved her confident and approach to math.
Andy is great and all is going very well. We are very happy with Andy he is helping Tylah with her maths.
El-Abed is doing s great job. El-Abed has managed to get my daughter, Faith, to agree to a 90min session weekly which should work well as she has some work to do.
