Learning biology is cumulative. Like learning mathematics or other science subjects - it's important to understand the basics before you can tackle complex concepts.
While most students have the right idea on how to approach studying biology, they also need a little push to achieve their goals. We've found that all it takes is the right kind of guidance at the right time.
The local Bassendean biology tutors we work with are there to assist so that passing and excelling at biology doesn't seem like such a hurdle. What we look for is someone who can adjust to your child's needs, who can observe their study habits and guide them through the learning process. So what does that mean exactly?
For instance, most students know they should go over past exams and take notes. What students also sometimes do is fixate on individual questions too much and even try to memorise them. While they know what they should be doing, they might not know how to do it. This is why tutoring is invaluable.
All we need to get things started is to have a chat with you to figure out what your child needs. We organise one-on-one biology tutoring in Bassendean, at your home. There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate.
And what if you don't like the tutor? No worries, it happens from time to time and we understand that! That's why the first lesson comes as a free trial.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Becoming more confident and talking aloud more frequently as time goes by. Pen to paper is good. Ethan always asks questions when he is confused about anything which is really helpful for us both. Formatting perhaps needs some work to maximise mark allocation and allow marker to see working clearly.
Zoe demonstrates a positive attitude and strong work ethic towards mathematics. Zoe is consistent with maintaining an organised and neat learning environment, setting out her work nicely and marking problem areas. Her positive attitude is encouraged.
One thing that really stood out to me in terms of problem areas over the course of our sessions were not due to her mathematical aptitude but rather her method of going about a particular problem; rushing through and solving mainly in her head. By making sure the question is properly understood and taking the time to understand what it is asking and showing all steps involved in solving i have no doubt Adora will be able to achieve great results.
EzyMath is great for the busy working family as the tutors come to your place at an agreed time to suit the family. The rate is very competitive and the written reports are a valuable source of information on a student's progress. The tutor was conscientious and went out of her way to obtain appropriate resources for our son. She was reliable and flexible and made our son feel at ease and more confident with his studies.
Arielle finds Ivan explains concepts really well and she seems to get on well with him , which is also important! Certainly she feels he is more helpful than the previous tutor and she doesn't dread the lesson like she used to before and manages to be alert for the whole hour. This is a big improvement on the previous tutoring experience!
We are more than happy with Kancelot. He and Rohan seem to get along well, he is punctual and polite , and is also helping Rohan improve his maths skills.
