Year 11 and 12 Chemistry can be intimidating. Students need to learn heaps of content, be able to recognize reactions and analyse chemical systems. The number of concepts students need to master is overwhelming, and the workload only adds up as they move up the curriculum. If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.

If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.
Tutors we work with know that. They've been there. Being approached by a mentor rather than a teacher makes it easier for students to develop an appreciation for chemistry. That's what it comes down to - someone making sure your child doesn't give up.
For some students it's just passing a test, for others it's getting through VCE with flying colours, maybe even preparing for a career in STEM. Whatever the goal, we are there to support your child through it all.
So what's the next step?
Give us a call and we will organise a chemistry tutor in Batesford to come to your home for one-on-one tutoring, at a time that works for you and your child.
We allocate local Batesford chemistry tutors so scheduling is never an issue. Changed your mind or need to postpone the lesson? No worries, there are no cancellation costs.
On top of that, the first lesson is a trial so if you don't like the tutor we'll find someone else who is better suited.
Have a question? We are happy to help.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Luke always aims to improve his understanding and can often transfer this understanding and the relevant methods to new topics and when problem solving. To further enhance this I would strongly encourange Luke to be dillgent with reinforcing and practicing the basics (eg. fractions, factorisation, indices etc.).
Pleasing Blake will need to put extra effort in his understanding of algebra as it is highly important that he understands this concept in the fundamental years of high school. A study organisations lesson will be organised later this term to help Blake improve his study hanks.
Main issue is putting knowledge together in an exam situation. This can be improved through focusing on the understanding behind solving problems and applying this understanding to practice exam questions.
Delila is a delight! She has established a great rapport with Isabella in the two lessons so far; and has expressed a commitment to helping Isabella in the long term. She has a lovely personality; and Isabella really really likes her already. I could not be more pleased.
Hi Tristan, Thank you for tutoring Macgregor, I have often found it difficult to motivate him to do homework and I have found your calm encouraging and persistent approach works very well with him. You are really great at keeping him engaged and focused at the same time, and work very well with him. You follow everything through in a sound, structured and well thought out way. I find your approach very professional. I have also found you very flexible and reliable and adapt to whatever Macgregor needs. Most importantly, Macgregor loves working with you and enjoys the way work with him. I look forward to seeing you continue to work with Macgregor next term.
Kai is really enjoying his lessons with Noah! He's got a great way of connecting with Kai. Kai mentioned that Noah explains the reasons instead of doing things by rote. He gets him to think before explaining the answer. Very happy with him!
