It takes a lot to do well in biology. Moving up the curriculum can be a challenge and if students don't jump in with both feet it's easy to fall behind. Catching up while others move on to a completely different area can cause a serious drop in motivation. While most students manage to stay afloat and get the grades they want, it doesn't have to be such an uphill battle.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
does really well with fractions, able to understand what it shows and how the answers are made speaks out about which ones should be the answer. does really well with figuring out fractions. can do addition really well, i want him to try and avoid guessing and working it out instead.
His enthusiasm and work effort has been going up and down. However, this is slowly improving. In the past month I have noticed he does not record when assessment is due and this has caused some issues. He had forgotten when his English assignment was due and had informed me of the wrong date for when it was due. He needs to get into practice of recording assessment due dates and double checking with his teachers that he has recorded the correct date.
He has picked up the wave concept quite quickly so I don't see any concerning problem areas or gaps right now but we will be doing a revision session soon which will be helpful in figuring out if there are any gaps that we need to go through again.
Thanks for the past 4 years of tutoring first Kendra and then Graeme. We were very happy with Tamara indeed. She made a huge difference for Kendra's Maths results. She achieved what she required for entry to her course, and we are very thankful to Tamara for that. Not only was she an excellent tutor, but a lovely person too and the kids found her very easy to understand and got on very well with her. She made a good start with Graeme, he also has improved in his Maths, fortunately we started early with Graeme.
Thank you all for your professionalism, patience and humor when engaging with our daughter! Who can make Maths more fun? Frank can! Cassie has blossomed!
Our daughter Marleen has finished her tutoring as she finished her HSC with great results: well above her predicted ATAR. A big thank you to Gordon who did a fabulous job tutoring chemistry!
