Physics is such a vast area, it's easy to get lost. While a lot of the content can be simply memorised, which many students still do, physics also requires higher-order thinking. The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Although the tutorials for James have ceased action at the moment, I would advise that you encourage him to continue to practice the 'Talking aloud' learning strategy as he clearly it doing it, however he is not verbailising what he is thinking and this will take his learning that one step further.
Good, needs to better his sleep pattern and organisation so he has more energy after the school day finishes. Solid. Varied, he knows how to organise himself he just does so inconsistently.
Oliver needs to continue working on his long multiplication and division, as well as who to make equivalent fractions (e.g., 3/8 9/24). While Oliver understands how to answer long multiplication and division type questions, he needs to continue practicing these types of questions to avoid forgetting. He also needs to revise fractions, especially how to use equivalent fraction to order fraction with different denominators from smallest to largest.
So far so good. Zachary and Gabriella seem to have a good rapport and I have noticed that Zac is working more confidently. It's early days though, so time will tell when his grades start coming through. Gabriella is a lovely young lady and we are happy having her as a tutor.
We have been very happy with Lawrence. He has been patient and on time every time.
We have been extremely happy with our tutor David, and will be recommending Ezy-Math to friends. Sharon (our daughter in Year 9) has moved up almost 50 marks in Maths and has gone from being a C student to an A student. She received 92% for her yearly exams. We are also very happy with our two sons' improvements as well.
