Chemistry can seem abstract, learning about elements and matter, how equilibrium occurs and how chemical systems react. No wonder students get discouraged.
All it takes for a student to go from a mild distaste for chemistry to understanding what is scribbled in the textbook is someone to point out what to avoid and where to put in that extra hour of revision. It's like with any problem situation in schooling and even in their personal life, students need to know about using effective strategies. Then all you need is persistence, staying on task until you reach your goal.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Catherine has improved significantly with her working out and putting her ideas down on paper, which is wonderful to see. She prefers to read questions out loud, which is a wonderful way for her to understand questions, and I have found that she now enjoys discussing question techniques, especially for her Mickey Diary.
In all, Jordan's effort during sessions has been good, along with his attitude- no complaints at all. Jordans work habit ( touched on in the previous paragraph) will be touched in the coming weeks in preparation for his exams and upcoming test.

I just wanted to let you know how very happy we are with Tianna's tutor, Josephine. Josephine is so bubbly, easy going, very patient and great at teaching Maths and making it fun to learn. Tianna is quite taken with Josephine, has built a great rapport with her and has made huge progress with her algebra in the short while Josephine has been tutoring her. Josephine is definitely a great asset to your company and we are so happy she is Tianna's tutor
Compliments on the nice touch with the follow up. It comes across as very professional. In fact the whole process from my initial inquiry about getting some help for Jake, through to now has been very professional, informative and direct. Yes, things have been progressing well between Jake and his tutor. They formed a good rapport straight off the bat. Jake has made comment of his own free will how he is enjoying the support. That in itself is something - getting more than a grunt from a 16 yr old!
Tilly has been doing very well at school with her maths - she received an A on her report. She says she is far more confident. Thank you so much for providing us with an excellent tutor in Christy - it would be my pleasure to provide a reference any time. It has made a significant difference to our daughter's confidence.
