Why would you ever need to know about combustion, corrosion, and electrochemical processes? Most students wonder about that too, especially if they don't plan on going into science.
Chemistry can seem abstract, learning about elements and matter, how equilibrium occurs and how chemical systems react. No wonder students get discouraged.
All it takes for a student to go from a mild distaste for chemistry to understanding what is scribbled in the textbook is someone to point out what to avoid and where to put in that extra hour of revision. It's like with any problem situation in schooling and even in their personal life, students need to know about using effective strategies. Then all you need is persistence, staying on task until you reach your goal.

Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Trini is really good with two strategies including "talking aloud" and "pen to paper" when solving problems. She has a good note taking skills but might need some guidance in terms of information organisation and summarising. She is confidence and it is ok for her to be wrong. She learns from her mistakes well.
Hannah's attitude is good in lessons, Hannah has the knowledge and skills to do well in this upcoming exam however she has low confidence levels at times. Higher confidence in all areas of her study will come with continued practice of exam papers under mock exam conditions. Effort is always given to her math work. Hannah has neat working habits which will make marking easy for teachers in the exam.
We are currently revising back over his class' past content to identify the areas on which we should focus in addition to his current topics. We may need to revisit rates, ratios and set notation in the coming weeks. There are no major issues beyond a few topics that we will need thoroughly revise together.
Wen is fantastic! Jack is very happy with the tutoring so we would like to continue with her.
Dhreeti tutor has been great so far and my daughter is really comfortable with her.
Sharren is wonderful. They have formed an instant connection, and Bree is already feeling more confident and did an open book maths test yesterday without looking at the book hardly at all. Sharren is already a part of the house when i walk through the door and she is already in my opinion, the best tutor for Bree
