Learning biology is cumulative. Like learning mathematics or other science subjects - it's important to understand the basics before you can tackle complex concepts.
While most students have the right idea on how to approach studying biology, they also need a little push to achieve their goals. We've found that all it takes is the right kind of guidance at the right time.
The local Camden South biology tutors we work with are there to assist so that passing and excelling at biology doesn't seem like such a hurdle. What we look for is someone who can adjust to your child's needs, who can observe their study habits and guide them through the learning process. So what does that mean exactly?
For instance, most students know they should go over past exams and take notes. What students also sometimes do is fixate on individual questions too much and even try to memorise them. While they know what they should be doing, they might not know how to do it. This is why tutoring is invaluable.
All we need to get things started is to have a chat with you to figure out what your child needs. We organise one-on-one biology tutoring in Camden South, at your home. There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate.
And what if you don't like the tutor? No worries, it happens from time to time and we understand that! That's why the first lesson comes as a free trial.

Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Talking aloud, back checking, pen to paper, self questioning, ok to be wrong, confidence, note taking, good corrections, transfer skills, seeking understanding, avoid rule dependence, avoid lazy thinking, format skills, avoid lazy thinking
Has a great attitude and is always keen to learn new methods and gain a better understanding of the topics learnt in class. I want to try and give him more work to do throughout the week next term to see if the extra practice helps improve his understanding and helps him in preparation for exams.
As mentioned earlier, since this month Cooper has had a substitute teacher he has not been given as much school work, which means that we are able to cover topics he hasn't done at school. Cooper can now divide fractions and simplify fractions which he has not covered at school yet. The focus for next month will be combing all these techniques together to solve various types of problems.
