Learning biology is cumulative. Like learning mathematics or other science subjects - it's important to understand the basics before you can tackle complex concepts.
While most students have the right idea on how to approach studying biology, they also need a little push to achieve their goals. We've found that all it takes is the right kind of guidance at the right time.
The local Cheltenham biology tutors we work with are there to assist so that passing and excelling at biology doesn't seem like such a hurdle. What we look for is someone who can adjust to your child's needs, who can observe their study habits and guide them through the learning process. So what does that mean exactly?
For instance, most students know they should go over past exams and take notes. What students also sometimes do is fixate on individual questions too much and even try to memorise them. While they know what they should be doing, they might not know how to do it. This is why tutoring is invaluable.
All we need to get things started is to have a chat with you to figure out what your child needs. We organise one-on-one biology tutoring in Cheltenham, at your home. There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate.
And what if you don't like the tutor? No worries, it happens from time to time and we understand that! That's why the first lesson comes as a free trial.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Jack has made improvements on his pen to paper and format skills during the past month. He has also made some improvements in his self questioning skills and transfer skills but these could use further work. Jack does depend on his formula sheet a little more than he should, which slows him down when he undertakes questions, which should hopefully improve with the higher workload.
Jazz's work habits have definitely improved over our time together. He seems to be more engaged and more energetic about his learning. He is especially driven when it comes to doing HSC practice questions, and takes these questions far more seriously and writes more in depth answers than he did for the textbook questions. While Jazz has good efforts during our sessions, it would be great if he did more repetitive questions outside of our time, to really nail home how to tackle specific problems.
The main problem that I can see is that Victoria seems to have some trouble retaining knowledge as new topics are being taught. Victoria needs to make sure she goes through topics she doesn't understand and takes notes of any important theory and equations that are shown in her Unit 3 and 4 text book. As mentioned previously practice and revision would be the best way to tackle this issue.

Ezy maths tutoring was just what we were after for Zena. We tried a couple of other tutoring companies before ezy maths tutoring but one we had to travel to to get there and the other offered us a young and inexperienced tutor, tutoring is more than knowing about the subject it is being able to teach it. Ezy maths tutoring offered us with everything we were looking for, reasonable pricing, at home tutoring and of course an excellent tutor. We found 'Tara' to be patient and understanding and Zena went from a D to getting B's and C's. We were very happy, thanks to Tara and ezy maths tutoring.
I decided to look for work as a tutor as I had time to spare and "fresh" knowledge that I thought I could share with students who wanted to do better. After being hired by two companies simultaneously, one being Ezy Math Tutoring, I would only have time to work for one of them. The decision to chose this company was easy as Ezy Math Tutoring provided greater support for its tutors. This included better pay, feedback, education on how to become a great tutor and a friendly group of people who were there to contact if I had any queries or if I needed help. The best thing about being a tutor was that I was able to dramatically improve the clients and their child's outlook on their education within a few weeks just by being there and providing a familiar face that knew how to help. I would definitely recommend Ezy Math Tutoring to any aspiring tutors and I thank them for the privilege of working as a tutor for the business.
Lauren had her first Tutorial with Caitlin today and Caitlin loved her straight away with confidence built on day one. So far, so good :0)
