Every student needs help sometimes, and often that help is needed in English. From basics like punctuation, spelling and grammar right up to narrative writing, proof reading and literary analysis. The Australian curriculum is thorough and there are various challenges that pop up for students over the years. At some point most students could use some help and an English tutor does just that - help! Ideally that help comes before the student has formed a negative cycle or fallen into a no-effort habit.
What we do is facilitate that help as a home service, we'll organise an in-home English tutor in Colebee, or wherever it is convenient for you.
A local Colebee English tutor will come to you at a time and day of your chosing and offer tutoring help in a manner tailored for your child's unique situation. The first lesson works as a trial so that if your child doesn't connect well with the tutor, you don't have to pay and we can organise someone else for you.
The terms of service are super simple too. No contracts or minimum hours or cancellation fees or anything like that. You get charged a simple hourly rate. That's it.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Joanna's confidence levels have improved a lot which is excellent. It is important to get in a habit of backchecking your work, to ensure you comb out minor mistakes as you make them. This will be very beneficial during exams too, as in your last exam, most marks were lost for minor errors rather than failing to understand the question and do the correct steps.
Jacob is currently working on grade 4 and 5 maths topics and I am happy with his progress he has made so far. I would like him to do extra practices at home to keep up with the basics of maths. He seems to really enjoy the simpler fractions and decimals and did well on the order of operations topic which made tutoring easier as he is able to grasp it quite quickly. However, he needs more practices on the harder aspects of fractions and decimals as it does get complicated in the higher grades.
An increase of 45% from his last yearly test has seen Erik achieve an outstanding 95% in his recent half-yearly. So far, he has no problem areas but will need be sure he does not get over confident in preparing for upcoming exams.
Wanted to take this opportunity to say how great Jeremy is! My daughter was incredibly nervous about having a male tutor but after the first session and moving forward, she feels completely comfortable, at ease and really enjoys her tutoring sessions with Jeremy. He has a very positive attitude and is very kind and encouraging towards Maycee's learning journey and for that we thank you all.... especially Jeremy!
Jay-T really liked Kerry and in the one session, saw real value in getting his help
We're very pleased with Rhowdry so far. Madeline is building a great rapport with her and they seem to work well together. I know it will take some time but so far so good.
