Learning biology is cumulative. Like learning mathematics or other science subjects - it's important to understand the basics before you can tackle complex concepts.
While most students have the right idea on how to approach studying biology, they also need a little push to achieve their goals. We've found that all it takes is the right kind of guidance at the right time.
The local Dee Why biology tutors we work with are there to assist so that passing and excelling at biology doesn't seem like such a hurdle. What we look for is someone who can adjust to your child's needs, who can observe their study habits and guide them through the learning process. So what does that mean exactly?
For instance, most students know they should go over past exams and take notes. What students also sometimes do is fixate on individual questions too much and even try to memorise them. While they know what they should be doing, they might not know how to do it. This is why tutoring is invaluable.
All we need to get things started is to have a chat with you to figure out what your child needs. We organise one-on-one biology tutoring in Dee Why, at your home. There are no extra fees, just a simple hourly rate.
And what if you don't like the tutor? No worries, it happens from time to time and we understand that! That's why the first lesson comes as a free trial.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Eugene has been proactive with his learning in class as evident in his ability to complete homework on time. However, Eugene has been advised to check through his answers and make sure he has completed all questions assigned for homework before each tutorial class. To do so, he has been advised to tick off the questions he has done. If he is stuck on any questions, he is encouraged to make a note to go through them in the tutorial classes.
Henry is very committed to further expanding his body of knowledge, and is open to different approaches and methodologies. It is difficult to identify any issues relating to Henry's effort in his maths and other areas of his schooling. Henry employs a very deliberate approach to his assessments, where each step is assigned realistic time constraints to ensure the final outcome is thorough and completed on time
No apparent gaps, which is a good sign! :) Olivia at times seems to struggle with fractions and negative and positive numbers is a little bit of an issues but can be easily rectified through practice.

Tutoring has gotten off to a great start thankyou. Adrian is always on time and his professional & friendly manner has encouraged Erin to have a positive response to being tutored ( she was not keen initially) Erin is enjoying her session with Adrian and I can see her willingness to work with him will increase her confidence in maths in general.
We are very happy with Rachel. Natasha feels very comfortable with Rachel and they get along well. Natasha feels more confident about maths now and almost excited to do her maths test at school tomorrow. Rachel has applied learning techniques that work best for Natasha and she is very patient. Rachel is also a lovely girl and has a warm personality. We are very thankful to have her tutoring Natasha.
We are very happy with Chris and especially how Nathan is progressing. His confidence has lifted and he is very happy.
