Year 11 and 12 Chemistry can be intimidating. Students need to learn heaps of content, be able to recognize reactions and analyse chemical systems. The number of concepts students need to master is overwhelming, and the workload only adds up as they move up the curriculum. If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.

If your child doesn't hit the ground running, if they don't develop adequate study habits it's easy to get swept away by the sheer number of demands.
Tutors we work with know that. They've been there. Being approached by a mentor rather than a teacher makes it easier for students to develop an appreciation for chemistry. That's what it comes down to - someone making sure your child doesn't give up.
For some students it's just passing a test, for others it's getting through HSC with flying colours, maybe even preparing for a career in STEM. Whatever the goal, we are there to support your child through it all.
So what's the next step?
Give us a call and we will organise a chemistry tutor in Fairfield West to come to your home for one-on-one tutoring, at a time that works for you and your child.
We allocate local Fairfield West chemistry tutors so scheduling is never an issue. Changed your mind or need to postpone the lesson? No worries, there are no cancellation costs.
On top of that, the first lesson is a trial so if you don't like the tutor we'll find someone else who is better suited.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Sanmeet does put pen to paper when doing problems. She is however, still getting used to talking out loud when attempting problems. She is beginning to gain confidence in solving new and complex problems. She is also asking more questions to re-iterate her understanding. We are still working on back checking her work.
Coopers attitude coming into every session is very positive. This month has seen a great improvement in Coopers attitude as he is now more confident in himself and his work, however when he becomes stuck on a question his confidence in himself can still get shaken. I've noticed this month that on some days when I see Cooper he can seem quite tired and sleepy.
Nadia is gradually making improvements in her arithmetic (addition, multiplication, division and subtraction) as mentioned in the past as an area of Nadia's minor shortcomings, and will continue to be worked on. Also, Nadia's ability to visualise smaller worded questions both given in writing and verbally has also shown some improvements, with some gradual shifting towards less dependancy on written/visual form as is apparent with Nadia.

Very happy - Su is a very good tutor and we're very happy with the tutoring thus far.
We're very happy with Kritika. Ella has taken to her easily and is really enjoying the work. I'm feeling very optimistic.
After the last session Mia said she was happy with Sam and didn't want to change to anyone else. Sam is very bright and Mia will never be an advanced Maths student but they seem to have worked out how to communicate and that just builds her confidence so she doesn't see a difficult question and get overwhelmed. Sam is also very punctual and communicates well with us as well. Even the dog likes him now.
