Students reach the next level when they work with someone who understands their needs, who’s available and honestly cares about their goal. That kind of support goes a long way, especially with chemistry, as it tends to be elusive and hard to master.
In most cases, that kind of help isn't available at school. Teachers already have a full classroom to manage and are generally swamped with tasks. Maybe you've already thought of finding a local Garden Island chemistry tutor for your child, but you didn't know where to start and what to look out for.
We can help.
This is what we do. We organise one-on-one tutoring in your home, at a time that's most convenient for you. You choose what the tutor covers and how often they come. Not quite sure what your child needs to learn? No need to worry, we'll figure it out.
We charge a simple hourly fee and last but not least, in case you don't like the first lesson - we consider it a trial and match you with another Garden Island chemistry tutor.
We've seen it time and time again, all it takes for a student to start trying again is that one aha moment.
The right tutor can get your child there.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Amber seems to be unconfident when it comes to putting her ideas down on paper, but I have noticed that she has slowly become more comfortable with writing down answers if they have been explained to her. I would love to see her confidence continue to grow. She is good at explaining concepts aloud when asked to, but I am also happy for her to attempt to solve questions without saying them aloud at this stage - it is completely up to her to decide what she is most comfortable with.
Abi should make sure that she does the homework I assign to her each week. There has been some weeks where she isn't doing the work I am assigning her. It is important that she does her homework. Other than that, she is engaged when I am teaching her.
Antione has improved but still struggles to work through money questions and I found drawing out different money scenarios and using money in our lessons helped him understand cents and dollars. It's also important that Antione revise his timetables every now and again to make sure he retains this knowledge which will also be helpful when he starts to develop more skills in division.

Thanks for the past 4 years of tutoring first Kendra and then Graeme. We were very happy with Tamara indeed. She made a huge difference for Kendra's Maths results. She achieved what she required for entry to her course, and we are very thankful to Tamara for that. Not only was she an excellent tutor, but a lovely person too and the kids found her very easy to understand and got on very well with her. She made a good start with Graeme, he also has improved in his Maths, fortunately we started early with Graeme.
Thank you all for your professionalism, patience and humor when engaging with our daughter! Who can make Maths more fun? Frank can! Cassie has blossomed!
Our daughter Marleen has finished her tutoring as she finished her HSC with great results: well above her predicted ATAR. A big thank you to Gordon who did a fabulous job tutoring chemistry!
