Learning science takes a lot of effort. Students not only need to know the content, but how they can use concepts, when they can use them and why it's the right approach in a given situation.
Scientific thinking isn't easily acquired, but the skills are useful across fields and many future careers are built on them. It's a fascinating field with many applications - that's why students choose to put in the time and learn it.
Most students manage to stay afloat or even excel at physics all on their own, they master most steps along the way. However, sooner or later everyone needs help.
Learning how to analyse and solve problems as physicists do is an enormous leap. So how can you get involved and make it just a bit easier for your child?
One way to lift the burden off your child's shoulders is finding someone who will be there when they need it. If they have someone they can relate to, with the right approach at the right time, students tend to achieve their goals easier.
This is how to get started.
Once you reach out to us we can allocate a local Glenfield physics tutor within a day or two.
We set up the first lesson at your home, whenever works for you, and we charge a simple hourly rate. The first lesson comes with a money-back guarantee.
Sounds simple enough?

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Of the learning strategies, talking aloud is the area in which Michaela would most benefit from improvement. This would solidify in her mind the methods and techniques she uses to solve a problem, as well as help build her confidence. In addition, her format skills are improving, and practising exam techniques might help her score higher marks in assessments.
Declan overall has a great attitude towards learning and has tackled the new topics especially surds to the best of his ability. As mentioned before, from what I can gather, Declan puts in considerable effort to finish the homework I set him coupled with attempting questions without my help during our sessions. He seems to be up-to-date with school and finishing all the homework that is set for him, from what I can gather he has a strong work habit.
There are a few topics which are harder to get a grasp on but we try different approaches to such issues. I can see when she gets resigned because she does not really understand the topic, hence loses focus easily but I try to bring the problems to real life scenarios as much as possible or draw simple graphics as tricks to remember the lesson.
Gary has been a good personality fit with Myles. He has been gentle and encouraging and Myles is motivated to do more maths throughout the week where previously he was feeling it was all too hard.
Cassandra has told me that her new tutor DJ has an excellent teaching style. He shows her every step of a maths problem and encourages questions. DJ also goes to the effort of making up personalised worksheets for her based on her maths book. Thank you, DJ, the effort is appreciated.
Thanks for all your help with Griffin over the years. Its really made a difference to his grades.
