Most students approach learning biology like any other subject. They know the basics, what to do and what to avoid, and truth be told, in most cases it's enough to pass the tests. Science subjects, and especially biology, can be tricky though. More often than not, students will need a push - just a little bit of guidance to get the most out of their learning.
We work with many Lilydale biology tutors and most have a story or two about student hiccups. Sometimes it's silly mistakes and other times just a lack of consistency - simple details that could have saved them time and energy. Never skip your lab notes! tutors find themselves reminding students over and over. Yet most tend to forget them.
Tutors we work with are there to help out with homework, revising, getting ahead or solving advanced problems - whatever your child needs. And they are available within a day or two. All we need to get things started is to have a chat with you.
We figure out what kind of support your child needs and organise one-on-one biology tutoring in Lilydale. On top of that, we keep things simple and convenient. There are no extra fees or hidden charges, just a simple hourly rate.
Last but not least, to make sure you and your child really like the tutor - the first lesson comes as a risk-free trial and with a money-back guarantee.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
We have been using learning strategies such as talking aloud, backchecking, self-questioning, seeking understanding while also trying to cultivate confidence and the idea that it's ok to be wrong. (The same as Fletcher).
Her attitude in sessions is very good. Very eager to learn and very willing to change. The effort she is putting in in sessions is perfectly acceptable but she could be putting more effort in to homework. Our sessions would be more effective if she spent more time outside of sessions doing practice pappers. Her work habits are perfectly appropriate. Especially concidering her proximity to graduation.
We need to work more with decimals, especially worded questions involving the division of decimals Bianca needs to change her mindset so that she sees the point in requiring mathematics. Otherwise she will never push herself.

We are more than happy with James. He has made a strong impression on both Jack and Sam. Both boys are keen and eager to please James. He has a lovely quiet demeanor and is constantly praising the boys and clearing explaining the steps as they are learning.
