I enjoy helping people, that feeling when you're tutoring someone and your explanations help them understand, and potentially even helping them form an interest in the subject is so fulfilling.My Strengths as Tutor 💪
I am patient and versatile. I have experience and knowledge on working with all kinds of children from my experience working as a swim teacher. Additionally, I am aware that learning is different for all individuals, and various approaches may be required, thus my ability to explain difficult concepts verbally and visually is of benefit to my tutoring abilities.Most important things I can do for a student 🏅
Understanding how a student learns, and what makes them tick. About Jessica
Swim Teacher
I am a qualified and currently employed swim teacher, working with small groups of kids and 1-on-1 to adapt teaching to different styles of learning and teach a vast curriculum in simple ways to avoid over complication.
Experience working with special needs children
As well as inside my job as a swimming teacher, working with non-verbal autistic children to improve their swimming abilities, I have experience with special needs children outside of the pool too. Not only does my younger brother have learning difficulties, and when helping him I had to learn how to be sensitive and work with his brain rather than against it. Additionally, I worked extensively within my high school teaching various age groups a variety of subjects due to my high academic achievements.
High achieving academic
In high school and primary school I always achieved highly, completing my secondary education with upwards of 50 academic awards throughout my education. I take great pride in my passion to teach and my passion to learn, and I look forward to passing that on to others!

Jascinta showed a great understanding and ability to comprehend the more complex analyses of the movie. By relating media influence to things we see now in the media, she was able to connect with the content and bring up some of her own observations in the film.
The study of the movie is in its early stages. I am keen to begin covering the influence of these themes, purpose snd types of camera angles and sound, as well as the role each character plays in the film. I believe she will benefit from rewatching portions of the film with a new understanding of the director’s intention.

Jascinta was very receptive, and enjoyed the ability to alter the lesson to focus on maths given her test was the following day. She was able to cover and revise all key concepts and I am confident she will do well on her test.
Further practice exercises are always encouraged to solidify learning and encourage confidence in applying math skills.

Came up with individual and creative ideas and was able to organise into structured paragraphs using TEEL, as well as offering an alternate perspective to strengthen argument.
