Students are constantly catching up while demands become more and more complex. Meanwhile, parents struggle to be there through it all.
Sometimes all it takes is to keep an eye on your child's progress - are they turning in their assignments and are they meeting deadlines. Some students don't need more.
However, sooner or later most students tend to struggle with chemistry. And once they hit that wall it's important to react right away, before the tasks pile up and become unmanageable.
That's where we come in.
If you are looking for a local chemistry tutor in Nutfield, we can assist. Your child needs someone who knows chemistry, someone who will turn up prepared for every lesson, who is available when it counts the most, but most importantly, your child needs someone who just clicks with them. Someone who recognizes their needs.
That's what we look for.
It usually doesn't take more than a day or two to match you with a local Nutfield chemistry tutor. They come to your house at a time that works for you.
And what about payment? Well, we set a simple hourly rate, no added fees or anything, as simple as that.
And if you end up not liking them? No need to worry. In that case, we consider it a risk-free trial lesson and if you're still up for it, we find you a better match.
No nonsense, just tutoring.

The proof is always in the action, to get an idea of how tutoring works in practice check out some feedback from tutors. Typically tutors focus on strategies needed to make progress, what's going well and what needs improvement. Of course, every tutor has their own unique style that is tailored to your child's specific needs.
Up until the first week of June (3 lessons leading up to June 6th), we focused on final exam preparation since Adam had an exam coming up on the 9th of June. We covered concepts such as fractions, ratios, probabilities and basic statistics. Adam seems to have a good conceptual understanding but may need reinforcing on technique and application. We worked on talking aloud and back checking techniques so far, and will begin to work on other learning strategies after the semester break.
Marika is well organised and continues to have a positive attitude towards schoolwork, although her year 12 subjects can be stressful. She has recently become more focused in class, as I insisted that she participate when we draft work, rewriting her own work when I point out a place for improvement.
Bailey's largest problem area is his limited ability to use fractions. He's is well aware of this though and significant improvements in this area have already been seen. I do not expect this to be a problem in the future for Bailey.
